MEMBERSHIPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Each (21+) guests may purchase up to two Memberships for the 2020 Beer Club year. Self + 1 Gift Membership OR 2 Gift Memberships.
Gift Memberships must be registered by the recipient by December 28th, 2019.
Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Membership accounts must be registered in the name of the intended beneficiary.
Family Tree members and appointed proxies must be over the age of 21 and have a valid ID.
2020 Family Tree benefits are in effect Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2020.
All Family Tree Club bottles must be picked up by either the member or their appointed proxy in the Hardywood Tasting Room located at 2410-2408 Ownby Lane, Richmond, VA 23230 or at the Hardywood West Creek Tasting Room located at 820 Sanctuary Trail Drive, Richmond, VA 23238. Hardywood does not ship beer.
Family Tree members must provide accurate contact information.
Family Tree members must maintain a current and active email account to receive timely notice of any available releases. Please ensure that any email sent by [email protected] is not disposed of or placed into a spam or promotions folder.
Monthly Newsletters, pre-purchase links, Box contents/registration and pick-up timetables will be communicated via the email address registered to the member as well as the respective official 2020 Family Tree Facebook groups.
It is the responsibility of the Family Tree member or appointed proxy to ensure they are picking up all the available orders and they are the correct items at the time of pick up.
Family Tree members are responsible for appointing and updating the name of their proxy. Members can appoint a proxy at the time of checkout and update their proxy at any time by emailing [email protected].
Family Tree discounts are only available to the Family Tree member and shall not apply to purchases made by a member’s proxy.
Family Tree members must be in possession of their membership card at the time of taproom purchase to receive their discount. Any replacement cards will be provided at a cost of $15.00 to the member.
Due to the nature of the craft and the availability of barrels and ingredients Hardywood occasionally has to change release dates and shift out beers. For this reason we do not lock in every beer that will be offered throughout the year.
Hardywood taprooms may temporarily suspend bottle pick-ups at any time at its discretion. Blackout dates will be communicated via the email address registered to the Family Tree member.
Family Tree beers are exclusively packaged in a bottle or can format for members within the 2020 Beer Club year. Family Tree beers may, on occasion, be served on draft at special events on and off premise and entered into competitions at Hardywood’s discretion.
Hardywood holds the right to brew, package and sell any Family Tree beer after the Beer Club year has ended.
Any beer not picked up by its associated deadline will be forfeited and released for sale to the succeeding Family Tree members. This includes any bottle that is initially included in the membership box or purchased in addition to Family Tree beer. Please make arrangements if you are unable to make it to the brewery by emailing [email protected], reaching out to fellow members through our Facebook closed group or by other means.

We are happy to offer three different retrieval methods for our members for 2022. You can choose between:

Local pick-up at our West Creek location only
Local delivery within a 25 mile radius of Richmond, VA for a flat fee of $25 for the year, for up to 6 deliveries
Shipping within VA and DC for a flat fee of $100 for the year, for up to 6 deliveries

*This cost of shipping and local delivery for Family Tree Boxes does NOT include the cost to ship or locally deliver GBS Complete Sets.*

Box releases happen on a quarterly basis throughout the year. Registration links for each box with release dates will be sent to your email inbox via the Family Tree newsletter, as well as reminders in the Family Tree private Facebook Group. Any additional pre-orders will be available to Family Tree members for pick-up for 30 days after release, unless otherwise specified.

Yes, we will happily hold your Family Tree box and pre-purchased beers for up to six weeks after the release date. Extensions to deadlines will be made accordingly to provide overlap of box and beer releases to make pickups as efficient as possible. Pickup deadlines will be posted in monthly Family Tree newsletters and reminder emails as well as the official Facebook group page.

Yes! You can assign a proxy to pick up your box and/or pre-purchased beer from your designated pickup location. You will be prompted to provide a proxy at the time of your order!

*All proxies must be 21+ years of age. This person is acting on your behalf and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and fullness of your order pickup before they leave the brewery. The brewery is not liable for what happens to your beer once it is picked up.

You will be prompted to list a proxy during check out of each order. If at anytime you need to change your proxy for an order simply email [email protected] to request the change.

As we strive to provide the highest quality products and due to the nature of the craft, we occasionally have to change release dates and switch up beer offerings. For this reason, we do not pre-release the content of each box. We pride ourselves on our barrel-aging program; our members can expect unique barrel blends and complex brews that will drink well upon delivery. We encourage all of our members to drink our beers fresh.

Family Tree beers are packaged exclusively for Family Tree members. Depending on availability of remaining bottles, we offer Family Tree exclusive opportunities to purchase any leftover inventory.

Membership transfers are subject to approval on a case by case basis. If you wish to buy a membership as a gift, please purchase a gift membership at check-out.

We do not allow the cancellation of membership and do not offer refunds.

No, we currently do not allow multiple discounts to be applied to a transaction unless otherwise specified.
