Blair Crimmins & the Hookers with Butchertown Burlesque

August 8, 2019 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

LIVE original hot ragtime jazz with a touch of rock and roll, AND burlesque? You better polish up those dancin’ shoes because Deanna Danger Productions is bringing you one helluva hot one!

Atlanta’s own, Blair Crimmins & the Hookers kick off their summer east coast tour with Butchertown Burlesque, August 8th at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery! One part swingin’ barn dance, one part scintillating striptease show, all parts all the fun, and some of the best entertainment you can get into on a steamy Thursday evening in Richmond!

Blair Crimmins, a multi-instrumentalist and music academic, who has opened for the likes of Mumford & Sons, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, has toured extensively across large venues & festivals all over the US, including Floyd Fest in our very own Virginia backyard. Playing together for nearly a decade with his 5 piece ragtime band, for one night only Blair and the boys will be setting the stage for this vaudeville era, classic burlesque revue named for one of RVA’s notorious red light districts of yore.

“The very first note immediately sends the listener back to a 1920s Vaudeville theatre, where Blair Crimmins intoxicates an audience with his smooth voice and the band supports him with flawlessly appropriate musical accompaniment.” – Performer Magazine

“The immersion was complete. [Butchertown Burlesque] treated us to a classic show, infusing their performances with a clear adoration for their burly-q forebears.” – Unsweetened Magazine
