Welcome to the heart of Richmond, Virginia!
Our original taproom is in Richmond's Historic German Brewing District. Our outdoor beer garden is open during posted hours every Tuesday through Sunday. Our Hardywood Pizza Kitchen turns out handcrafted eats Wednesday through Sunday. We offer an eclectic mix of live music and community events that are free to the public and open to all ages.
Things to remember before visiting our taproom:
- Groups less than 15 people can feel free to gather on our grounds and enjoy a fun afternoon at Hardywood. If you wish to have a group of more than 15 people, please contact [email protected]
- Please do not move tables and chairs.
- No outside alcohol permitted on premise as stated per Virginia ABC law.
- Heightened sanitation practices will ensure frequent cleaning and sanitizing of tables, chairs, doors, and restroom facilities.
- Hand sanitation stations will be available at all point of sale stations and on both sides of entry doors.
- Outside food is prohibited on the premise.
- Leashed dogs are welcome in our outdoor spaces.
- We have implemented QR code ordering for a convenient guest experience. If you prefer to order from a bartender, we are happy to serve you at any open bar location.
- Due to construction around Ownby Lane, our parking is limited. Please consider Uber, Lyft, or carpooling with your group to our taproom.

Led by award-winning local chef, Joe Sparatta (Heritage, Southbound) and Dave Draper, we give you the Hardywood Pizza Kitchen. The finest local ingredients, fresh New York style pizza dough, and a whole lot of dedication to the craft creates an artisanal pizza experience like no other. Gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options available!
