When does a membership go into effect?

The first package will be available for pick-up on February 4, 2017. Contents will include 2 bottles of Kentucky Christmas Morning, 1 bottle of Hardywood Ruse, and the membership card/bottle opener by Machine Era Co., which must be presented at the brewery to take advantage of your membership benefits.

How long does a membership last?

First-year Family Tree membership is available at a one time cost of $295. 2017 membership will expire 13 months from date of open enrollment: Feb. 18, 2018. All member packages must be claimed by this date.

How many memberships are available?

There will be 100 Family Tree memberships available through the Family Tree enrollment form on our website. Enrollment will begin at 12PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

When are seasonal packages available for pickup?

Family Tree packages will be available for pick-up at the Richmond brewery in February, May, August and November. Specific dates are listed in the information at the top of the page. If a member or proxy is unable to retrieve a package on the first available date, we will hold it on-site until the member or proxy is available (package pick-up must occur during regular public taproom hours or by appointment). All member packages must be claimed by Feb. 18, 2018.

What's included with a membership?

Family Tree memberships include:

Four curated seasonal packages, each containing three bottles and one Family Tree gift.

Family Tree Bucks for our members to enjoy complimentary rounds in our Richmond and Charlottesville locations.

20% off all merchandise in our Richmond and Charlottesville locations.

Do you ship?

We are not currently shipping Family Tree member packages. If you are interested in joining our Family Tree from out-of-town or out-of-state, you are welcome to register a proxy to retrieve your packages from the brewery and coordinate delivery to you. Simply fill in the appropriate sections of the Family Tree enrollment form!

May I employ a proxy? I'm interested in joining from out of state!

Yes, and here's how it works:

·Proxies must be named by the member during enrollment. Family Tree member packages will only be given to a member or a registered proxy. To update member information or change a named proxy, please email Jillian at familytree@hardywood.com.

·Proxies must present a valid photo ID and be able to confirm the membership number to receive a member's curated seasonal packages. If these two requirements are not met, the package will be held safely at the brewery for the Family Tree member. All packages must be claimed by Feb. 18, 2018.

·It is the responsibility of the Family Tree member and their proxy to coordinate shipment/delivery of packages to the member.

Can I give a Family Tree membership as a gift?

Your generosity brings joy into our hearts, and we want to make sure you have an opportunity to share a Family Tree membership with the beer lovers in your community! Simply complete the appropriate sections of the Family Tree enrollment form to share a membership as a gift. Please note that we are unable to accommodate shipping for Family Tree membership packages. All packages must be picked up at the brewery by a member or a registered proxy.

Can I cancel a membership?

Your Family Tree membership purchase is non-refundable. If there are extenuating circumstances, please email Jillian at Familytree@hardywood.com to inquire about your options.

  • Family Tree members MUST be 21+.
  • Members or proxies must present a valid ID and Family Tree membership card to redeem on site rewards.
  • Proxies will need to present a valid photo ID and and confirm the membership number to receive a member's seasonal curated packages. If these two requirements are not met, the packaged will remain on site and held safely for the Family Tree member.
