What is Family Tree?
It’s been six years since we first launched our annual beer club, Family Tree. We’ve come a long way from a google form and a lottery on Facebook. We’ve opened enrollments for 2024 and can’t wait to see what another year of fun and friends brings us.
What is Family Tree though?
Family Tree is Hardywood’s exclusive beer club - but honestly, it’s much more than your typical mug club. The Hardywood brewing team creates twelve unique beers a year, three per quarter, just for members. These beers go into four quarterly boxes along with a piece of custom swag - again, only for members. On top of that, Hardywood hosts a big Family Tree Reunion every summer where the taproom is open just to members, they brew a Reunion Ale with their input, and have a day of fun, food, bottle sales, and more.
PLUS members get 10% off in the taproom every single day of the year (and a free pint on your birthday!) Hardywood staff also run a private Facebook group for members to share photos, tell stories, and ask questions. OH, and the pre-purchases. Members get first access to special releases like Trickery, Foolery, Mamaw’s Mean Cobbler, Bubby’s Blackberry Cobbler, and a little thing called the Gingerbread Stout Complete Set. That’s right, first dibs on complete sets.
Here at Hardywood, we’ve worked hard to create a membership program that works for our members. We try to solicit and take to heart feedback throughout the year, and make decisions for the club based on direct commentary from our members. We want everyone to feel a sense of ownership in the club.
Based on several years of feedback, we’ve moved the club to Oznr, an ordering app that allows for easy purchase and check-out and makes picking up quarterly boxes or pre-purchases at our West Creek location a breeze. Our goal is for every visit to be a great one, and technology should make things easier, not more cumbersome.
