Hardywood Participates in Pouring for Neighbors Initiative To Help Aid Western NC Relief

At this year’s Hardywood Oktoberfest, we’d like to add a new dimension to our “Brew with Purpose” call to action by expanding our focus beyond supporting those in need in our local community in partnership with Goochland Cares, to also support our neighbors in Western North Carolina to recover from the heart wrenching damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

Hardywood is participating in the Pouring for Neighbors initiative to support Western NC Hurricane Relief. The proceeds will go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund (www.nc.gov/donate). 

You can also help by dropping off needed supplies, including non-perishable food, packaged water, and cleaning supplies to the donation bins in front of Hardywood West Creek all Oktoberfest weekend, Friday, 10/4 - Sunday, 10/6.

We will transport these donations to a designated supply pickup point in NC on Monday morning.

Western North Carolina’s breweries, grounded in the resilience of their people and surrounded by the region’s natural beauty, have been foundational for our craft beer community. As they embark on the long road to recovery, we are calling on breweries everywhere to join us in making a difference.

Through the “Pouring for Neighbors” initiative, we invite breweries across the country to designate a beer, with proceeds supporting disaster relief efforts. Together, we can help our neighbors rebuild, pint by pint.
