I offer solo improv looping shows, jazz/funk standards, and frontman two groups offering different styles of music to suit your event or show.

Each participant will create an 8x49" framed porch sign that is customized with your paint colors! Your piece will be customized to your space, your style and your vibe! 40 colors are offered during the workshop and all instruction and materials are included in your registration. You'll start with a blank piece of wood and turn it into something that you can be proud to display - ZERO artistic ability is needed! Workshops last approximately 2 hours.

Mo Safren, short for Morris, is a native of Culpeper, Virginia. He is a pianist and singer that has studied under some of the best teachers in the world at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. Mo maintains a deep love and understanding of music, which keeps him passionate about all his musical endeavors.

Mary Mac was born to be a vocalist.  She has words and a voice that can quiet a room. Her energy and love for her craft can be felt by any who have the pleasure of witnessing her perform 

Mo & Mary Mac joined forces in April of 2022 when they met at a local music festival.  They shared the stage with 7 other musicians and rocked out.  After that day, Mo and Mary started a duo group and have covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time.  Playing stages like Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, Songbyrd Music House in Washington D.C, Hardywood Brewery in Richmond, VA, Santa Fe Brewing Co. in Santa Fe, NM and Quartermoon Bookstore in Wilmington, NC, Mo and Mary have built quite the chemistry. Together “Mo & Mary Mac” bring a loving energy to any room with their smooth harmonies and heart-warming original songs.

You are cordially invited to join Hardywood West Creek and Greater Richmond SCAN for Trunk or Treat Sunday, October 27th, from 12:00-4:00 PM.  

What is Trunk or Treat? Trunk or Treat is a different spin on Trick-or Treating where local businesses/organizations and community members park and decorate the trunk of your car and pass out candy as kids “trunk or treat” from car-to-car. Trunk or Treat allows kids to have all the trick-or-treating fun without crossing streets or worrying about traffic. In addition to trunk or treating, guests can enjoy family friendly fall activities, food trucks, and enter a raffle for a chance to win a few awesome prizes! Hardywood West Creek will be donating 5% of all beer sales during the event to Greater Richmond SCAN.

How to get involved: Registration for each car is $15, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Greater Richmond SCAN.

Please arrive between 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM for set up, taking into account how long you need to set up in your planning!

All treats to be passed out must be made in a commercial kitchen or factory production.  Hardywood and/or Greater Richmond SCAN will inspect all treats prior to distribution.  Please bring at least 1,000 pieces of candy.  We do see large crowds for this event, and are increasing the number of trunks we have this year to ensure there is enough for everyone. 

In Ben Long's current solo acoustic act, he plays a style of rhythmic blues and soft rock, mixed with a hint of folk and americana. Utilizing live loops, he creates extra layers to some of his songs in order to showcase his lead guitar skills. Yet with these elements in mind, just as much time is spent with the raw sound of just guitar and voice. You'll hear old but familiar covers, as well as tons of his own material.

Trickery is our Imperial Milk Stout, patiently aging in Laird's Apple Brandy barrels. It's an award-winning, nationally ranked chocolate, velvety stout that will put you in a spooky mood. Trickery is the #13 ranked sweet milk stout in the world according to BeerAdvocate

This is a very limited release, with guaranteed pre-purchases going to our Family Tree beer club.

Born and raised a New England girl, Jocelyn Oldham has now spent over half her life in Virginia. She performs full time as a solo artist all over Richmond, Hampton Roads, and beyond for any and all occasions. With her amazing voice, Jocelyn performs popular cover tunes on both guitar and ukulele that span several genres and appeal to many generations. From Pasty Cline and the Beatles to Colbie Caillet and her all time favorite Ingrid Michaelson. If you're looking for a wide musical selection her extensive song list is sure to please most any crowd young and old. Whether she is entertaining center stage or simply fulfilling the desire for background music, Jocelyn's voice is her passion and it shines through in each performance.

Hardywood Cloud Shapes is a celebration of New Zealand and the rich hops grown there.

Rakau hops contribute a rich tapestry of ripe apricot and peach, forming the smooth, fruit-forward base of this ale, while Riwaka hops add passion fruit and zesty grapefruit, enhancing its complexity and lending a refreshing brightness to the finish. Matt Johnson is a 29 year old Musician/Songwriter/Producer/Actor from Central Virginia. In the past few years he has paid his dues working as a professional actor in Houston, Texas, as well as being the lead singer for VA based band MOON that headlined The National Theater in Richmond, VA and recorded with the Keyboard Player for Dave Matthews Band, Mr. Butch Taylor.

Mackenzie Roark and the Hotpants is a magnetic fusion of classic country, 70’s folk, and raw rock and roll, hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Led by singer-songwriter Mackenzie Roark, this ensemble brings her poignantly introspective, yet vibrant songs to life. Mackenzie's songwriting prowess draws from a well of influences, including classic country icons like Townes Van Zandt and Loretta Lynn, fused with the bold, punchy energy reminiscent of Shania Twain and Sheryl Crow. Mackenzie Roark and the Hotpants deliver a performance that's both emotionally evocative and sonically compelling, inviting audiences to sway to the songs, reflect on the stories, and ultimately feel the pulse of genuine, heartfelt music.
