TRONGONE BRO’S & FRIENDS-GIVING 2024: After a mysterious and sun-drenched disappearance in the wilds of South Florida, the Trongone Brothers are finally making their grand return to Richmond! What were they up to in those hidden beachside retreats? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: they’re bringing their electrifying Southern Fried Rock and Roll back to Hardwood Park on November 27, 2024 feat. Jonathan Meadows, Ben “Wolfe” White and special guests. Happy Thanksgiving!
Raised on 1970s rock & roll, The Trongone Band create a modern version of a timeless sound. They're a ban of brothers, led by siblings Andrew and John Trongone and inspired by the southern rockers, bluesmen, and guitar heroes whose albums filled their parents' record collection. With Don't Give Up On Love, the Virginia natives showcase their own larger-than-life, long-haired rock music, nodding to their influences while still exploring new territory.
Don't Give Up On Love was produced by Widespread Panic's Dave Schools and recorded on the heels of a European tour that found The Trongone Band playing packed shows in multiple countries. From the swinging grooves of the EP's title track to the late-night electric blues of "Ain't Worth a Dime," these songs mix the classic and the contemporary. The result is a collection of raw, road-tested rock & roll — a worthy follow-up to the band's debut, Keys to the House, influenced by the same legends who sparked the brothers' love for the genre.“
